Strobophagia: Rave Horror Officially Launching on Halloween
The combination of Horror and EDM in a game is quite rare, and probably the last time players saw something like this was in Blade’s opening. Recently a Swedish developer, Green Tile Digital, announced their upcoming project Strobophagia: Rave Horror. It’s a psychedelic horror game where players will be in a deep forest wearing neon masks. They have to survive through the murderer organizers.
The developers have added the demo version on Steam that players can check out, while the official version will arrive on October 28. You can also watch the first look of the game through the trailer that Green Tile Digital has released for the fans. The trailer features plenty of EDM sounds to let the players experience the Rave and terror while being hunted. Surrounded by a fluorescent hellscape, players will have to solve some puzzles with just a smartphone and survival tactics.

The storyline of Strobophagia: Rave Horror is quite simple. While being a raver in search of freedom of expression, players will find themselves at a huge Rave Festival. The festival is full of carefree drunk NPCs, electronic music tunes, and fluorescent body paint in the deep forest. In the festival, to make things complicated, the organizer announced the cost of admission is by taking someone’s life. So the moment it happens, you have to make yourself get out of there. Unfortunately moving out isn’t the part of the game just yet. The process of moving out from the Rave Festival is tricky. You have to deal with plenty of sinister hiding in the shadows.
Making out alive from the Rave is not going to be easy, but players will have to use their in-game smartphone to get some help. There will be several puzzles that you have to solve through the smartphone operation. It will guide you to the POI and lead you to consult with numerous helpers.
By looking down the trailer and the demo version of the game, it is pretty clear that Green Tile Digital has put great effort into their project. Their work on visual graphics, moments, and color combinations is pretty impressive. The CEO of Green Tile Digital – Ben Clarke says – the team has been eating, sleeping, and breathing the Rave culture since they started the Strobophagia: Rave Horror project. Along with the horror game lovers, the developers are also excited for the game to hit officially on Steam.
There are a few things about the game which is still unknown. Players are curious about the run time of Strobophagia: Rave Horror. Because it’s a horror game, it could be a short game, but no confirmation about it has been revealed. As per the mechanics of the game, the players are so excited to experience it.
After observing the smartphone, its functions and communication pattern is still unclear to most of the players. Monsters can attack the player, but it seems there’s no way to attack them back. However, there could be some unique mechanic behind that will reveal once the game arrives.
Conclusion
Players that are excited to play the game and want to experience it early, they can access it on Steam. Developers have already launched the demo version of the game to allow the players to check the game and experience a unique Rave terror.
Strobophagia: Rave Horror will officially arrive on PC on October 28, 2020.
